Your writing, in plain language
What we keep
- Your writing, and the feedback and progress that come from it.
- Your username and year level. Not your email, your surname or your birthday.
- We never show ads, and we don’t sell anything about you to anyone.
Who reads it
- A computer program checks your writing for signs you might need help. If it finds something, a person reads it. Your feedback waits while that happens.
- Your coach (the AI) reads your writing to give you feedback. It only gets your year level and your writing — not your name or your school.
- Your parent sees a piece of writing only when you choose to share it.
What you can ask for
- You can ask to see everything we hold about you.
- You can ask us to delete it.
- You can ask a person to look at any feedback you think is wrong.
If you need help now
Redraft is not a crisis service and nobody watches your writing in real time. The getting help page lists people you can call, including 000 if you or someone else is in danger.
